Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is outstanding • Children are highly independent and curious learners. They relish opportunities to lead their own play, and explore their ideas in the well-resourced and vibrant learning environment, inside and outdoors. They develop exceptionally high levels of confidence and self-esteem, and are extremely well prepared for starting school. • The manager and her team have developed very strong partnerships with parents. Parents are fully included in their children’s learning and development, and they are kept up to date and involved in all areas of their children’s progress. • The manager has a clear vision for the setting, and this is shared throughout the staff team. The manager constantly reflects on and evaluates the provision. She actively acts on advice and feedback from parents, staff and children. • Children are very happy and demonstrate kind and respectful behaviour. They have developed strong attachments with the caring and nurturing staff. This creates a warm atmosphere throughout the setting. • The quality of teaching and interactions between staff and children is highly positive. Staff have high expectations of children. They have a secure knowledge of children’s next steps in learning, which they precisely identify through their high-quality assessment processes. • The quality of teaching is outstanding. Staff get to know the children as individuals. They prioritise the development of children’s early literacy and mathematical skills through planned opportunities, and this contributes to children demonstrating exceptionally strong understanding in numbers and sounds. • The manager leads her team with expertise, and is passionate about creating an environment where children have the freedom to learn and develop in their own unique ways.
