Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good The management team have a clear vision for the setting. This is shared by all staff. Together they are passionate about continuing to improve outcomes for children. Self-evaluation takes account of the views of parents and children. The feedback received is used to set realistic targets for continued improvement. Staff are well qualified. They use their experience, training and skills to support children’s development. Systems for observation and assessment are, generally, used well to support children to make good progress in their learning. Staff interact with children with affection, enthusiasm and care. They place great importance on developing children’s confidence, self-esteem and emotional security. Staff are extremely positive role models and strong relationships exist between children and their key person. Children’s behaviour is excellent. Children thoroughly enjoy themselves in the stimulating, well-resourced learning areas. Children lead their own play and make independent decisions. This helps to keep them motivated as they happily play and explore. It is not yet outstanding because: Strategies used to gather information from parents are not fully successful in promoting even more consistency in children’s learning. The manager does not yet fully monitor and analyse information about the progress of different groups of children, including those children in receipt of additional funding.
