Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is outstanding • Relationships with parents are outstanding. Parents speak extremely positively about staff and say they feel valued and respected as partners in their children’s learning. Staff have inspirational methods of sharing information with parents and provide exceptional guidance on ways to support children’s learning and development at home. • Monitoring of children’s progress is exemplary. The consistent use of accurate assessments helps staff to identify any children who may be at risk of falling behind. The highly successful and timely strategies implemented enable children to catch up and promote excellent outcomes for children. • Staff give exceptionally high priority to children’s well-being. Arrangements for settling-in and transitions between rooms are tailored to parents’ and children’s individual needs. Children demonstrate extremely high levels of independence throughout the nursery. • Staff have an excellent understanding of their role in promoting children’s learning. Children and staff become highly engaged in play and staff show genuine interest and enthusiasm in supporting children to develop a passion for learning. Children make outstanding progress in their learning and development. • It is evident that the management team and their supportive staff have high ambitions for children and what they can achieve. They are passionate about the nursery and evaluate the effectiveness of the provision in detail. The views of staff, children and parents are genuinely valued and used when making decisions to enhance the outstanding provision even further. For example, a buggy store has recently been set up in response to parents’ requests. • Inspirational leadership motivates staff and the management team has a highly effective system for supervision and monitoring staff performance. This leads to consistently outstanding practice throughout the nursery and has an exceptionally positive impact on children’s learning.
