Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is outstanding Staff are extremely caring and attentive, and children have formed strong bonds and attachments with them. Children display extremely good levels of behaviour, confidence and self-esteem as they help each other with small tasks. This helps to support their emotional well-being exceptionally well. Highly effective monitoring and extremely high expectations for children ensure that targeted programmes of support are implemented quickly. Consequently, all children, including those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities and those who speak English as an additional language, are making excellent progress. Partnerships with parents are extremely strong. Parents speak very highly of the service provided and feel extremely well supported. Staff successfully engage parents in children’s learning and in meaningful discussions about their development. The quality of teaching is exceptional. Staff enthusiastically follow children’s interests and help to bring learning to life. This helps all children to be exceptionally well engaged and excited to learn. The highly qualified and experienced practitioners work well together, meaning the organisation of the playgroup is excellent. The playgroup provides a lively, vibrant, fun and homely environment where each child is respected and valued. Staff promote the different languages used by children exceptionally well. They skilfully reinforce children’s speech by signing words and using pictures. Children who speak English as an additional language make excellent progress in their communication and language skills.
