Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good Leaders and staff reflect on their practice regularly and effectively. They engage with parents and other professionals to help form their ongoing action plans. Leaders are ambitious and keen to improve outcomes for children. Staff know children well. They place a strong focus on engaging with parents and involving them in children’s learning in different ways. For example, they provide activities for parents to do with children at home. Staff help children to develop an understanding of the wider world and diversity in meaningful ways. For example, they display and discuss postcards from children’s holidays and explore where their families live. Children enjoy playing imaginatively and using travel brochures to discuss which countries they would like to visit. All children, including those who have special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities, make good progress from their starting points. Leaders monitor and analyse children’s progress effectively. They use additional funding well to help address gaps in children’s learning and promote good outcomes. It is not yet outstanding because: Occasionally, staff do not make the best possible use of opportunities to promote and maintain children’s concentration during focused group activities. Staff sometimes do not provide enough opportunities for children to increase their independence.
