Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • Partnerships with parents are strong. Parents praise staff at the setting and compliment the level of care they provide for children. Parents say they are kept very well informed about their child’s day. They compliment the setting for the effective communication with parents and other professionals involved in a child’s care. • The manager has implemented an effective system which helps her to gather key information about a child before they first start at the setting. Parents complete detailed information about their child’s individual needs. The manager uses this information to ensure children’s health and well-being are fully considered. • Staff and children have strong relationships. Children seek out help and support from staff, who respond sensitively to them. Staff encourage children to have a go and try things for themselves. • Although the management team evaluates the quality of the setting and service provided for children and their families, this does not yet focus precisely enough on what needs to be done next to drive improvements to the highest level. • Children’s individual interests are not as fully fostered as they could be in the activities and play equipment planned for them.
