Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • Staff establish secure and trusting relationships with children. Children have a good sense of belonging and positive levels of well-being and self-esteem. • Children gain good skills to support their future learning. They are independent as they choose their own play and find their own belongings with confidence. • The managers and staff closely monitor and track children’s progress. This enables them to quickly highlight any gaps in their development and provide good support to help children close the gaps and continue to make good progress. • The managers closely monitor the good consistency of care and teaching that staff provide for children. For example, they observe staff interact with children daily and provide them with helpful advice to support their future performance. This helps keep children interested to learn and continues to improve their learning outcomes. • Children have good opportunities to develop their creative skills. They explore paint in interesting ways, such as making art with cotton buds and marbles. • There are good opportunities for children to develop their physical skills. For example, they confidently negotiate climbing and balancing equipment, such as climbing walls. • Staff do not consistently give children enough time to think and then respond to questions, to help them gain even better speaking and listening skills. • Staff do not provide enough opportunities to help children fully understand the importance of following good health and hygiene routines.
